Sometimes I spiral.
Sometimes I don’t even realize I’m spiraling until I’m halfway through a full emotional crash and can’t remember when I last drank water.
When that happens, when I’m anxious, overstimulated, or just disconnected, I don’t try to “fix” it. I reset. Slowly. Softly. Through ritual.
This isn’t about some Pinterest perfect altar or a 10 step morning routine. This is my real, messy, personal ritual that brings me back to myself.
🔮 Step 1: I pull a card before I even try to “figure it out”
No journaling. No goals. No deep analysis. I shuffle my deck and pull one single card.
Not to ask “What should I do?” but to ask:
“What energy do I need to sit with today?”
That card becomes my theme. Sometimes it pisses me off. Sometimes it’s like a warm hug. But it always gives me an anchor when I feel floaty.
🕯 Step 2: I build the energy I want not the one I woke up in
Once I see the card, I set the vibe. I light a candle (usually something soft and herbal), turn on a playlist that matches the mood I want, not the one I’m stuck in.
Here’s a few I reach for often:
Feeling numb: something sensual + ambient (like lo-fi or soft chillwave)
Feeling overwhelmed: nature sounds, forest rain, or instrumental piano
Feeling heavy or stuck: witchy vibes + slow beats (BIBI, Lana, or a dark feminine energy playlist)
My goal isn’t to “fix” my mood but it’s to gently transition into something softer, something more me.
🌿 Step 3: Physical reset = energetic reset
I clean a small area.
I take a shower with intention (eucalyptus or rosemary is my go to).
I change into an outfit that makes me feel like someone who cares about herself.
This is self-care that doesn’t look perfect. It’s about doing one tiny thing that makes me feel more human. And when I do that, my brain finally starts to quiet down.
💌 Step 4: I journal or ritual write without rules
Sometimes I write out what I’m feeling.
Other times, I create a mini spell, an affirmation, or a list of what I’m calling in.
It’s chaotic. It’s not always pretty. But it’s mine.
If I feel inspired, I write a ritual. If not, I just let myself exist. Sometimes I even voice note my thoughts like I’m talking to a friend. The key is not forcing myself to be “productive” it’s just to reconnect with my voice.
✨ Final Step: I let the rest of the day unfold gently
I don’t expect magic to strike. But more often than not…
I feel lighter.
I feel less alone.
I feel like I’m back in my own body again.
